
What is Social Anxiety? Social Anxiety Disorder is a type of anxiety disorder that causes anxiety or fear in social settings. Symptoms include difficulty talking with people, meeting new people, and attending social gatherings. They may feel anxious about being judged or critiqued and may replay or obsess about recent or past social situations. Group therapy helps people learn coping skills, increase exposure, and gain support and connection with others.
